Safety Instructions
When using electrical appliances, especially when children are present,
basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
KEEP AWAY FROM WATER
DANGER - As with most electrical appliances, electrical parts are live even when the switch is off.
Please note: This product is intended for professional use and can reach a high temperature. The casing on the straightener may get hot and therefore, when using with two hands, we suggest holding the bevelled tips on the end of the straightener which is designed to disburse the heat.
To reduce risk of death by electric shock:
- Disconnect product from mains supply when not in use. Also disconnect product from mains supply when cleaning or changing any attachments, and immediately after using.
- Do not place the appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink. If the appliance falls into the water, unplug it immediately. Do not reach into the water.
To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire or injury to persons:
- Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this leaflet. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
- Do not cover the product at any time.
- Do not take this product into a bathroom, or leave anywhere near water.
- Do not immerse in water, or store or place appliance where it can fall or be pulled into water.
- To avoid the hazard of being burnt, do not let the heated surface come into close contact with the skin.
- A s a safety precaution and to prolong the life of your appliance, do not wrap the power cord around the product.
- Do not leave appliance unattended while it is operating or plugged in.
- Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged in any manner or dropped into water. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or it’s services agent in order to avoid a hazard.
- Do not place the appliance on any surface while it is switched on. Always use the heat mat supplied with this product.
- Never use while drowsy.
- Never drop or insert any objects into any opening.
- Do not use outdoors or operate where oxygen is being administered.
Hints and tips on care and cleaning:
- Before cleaning the unit please disconnect from the mains.
- Take great care never to dip the unit in water or any other liquid and avoid direct contact with water.
- You may wipe the casing with a moistened cloth, then wipe dry.
- Do not use abrasives or cleaning solutions.
